God’s Word is truth.
Scripture is the final authority that judges every religious claim and our own interpretation of it.
John 17:17 · 2 Timothy 3:16–17World Religions & Apologetics · Grades 9–12
Enter the worldview. Hear its best case. Map its claims. Then test the foundation in the light of Scripture and the risen Christ.
Orientation 00
This Field Guide begins openly with the Christian confession that Scripture is God’s authoritative Word. It can supplement classroom study or support independent exploration; the formal WHCA course does not depend on this website. Students are still asked to understand why Christians trust biblical authority—and to examine every worldview’s authority claims with the same visible questions.
Course confession
Fair representation is a matter of obedience, not uncertainty. We listen carefully because Scripture forbids false witness. We judge decisively because God’s Word is truth and Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father.
Scripture is the final authority that judges every religious claim and our own interpretation of it.
John 17:17 · 2 Timothy 3:16–17No religion offers reconciliation with God apart from the crucified and risen Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 · Acts 4:12If a claim contradicts what Scripture teaches, that claim is false—even when it is sincere, ancient, or contains partial truth.
Isaiah 8:20 · 1 John 2:22–23Christians must expose error without contempt and give reasons for hope with gentleness, respect, and a clear conscience.
Ephesians 4:15 · 1 Peter 3:15–16Foundations
Before we compare answers, we need to ask what gives any answer the right to be believed. Unit 1 identifies the Christian starting point, examines reasons for confidence in Scripture and Christ, and prepares us to identify every later agreement and contradiction without caricature. The Field Guide does not treat contradictory religions as equally true.

Ordinary worldview units follow these seven moves so attention can stay on the people, sources, and ideas. Foundations establishes the method first; synthesis and capstone units use dedicated retrieval, comparison, and defense sequences.
Worldview atlas
These are not boxes for reducing people. They are maps for identifying the deepest claims that shape belief, worship, ethics, and hope.
Establish the biblical covenants and Messiah before testing later claims about prior revelation and Jesus.

Biblical Christianity remains the fixed standard. Select an available worldview and lens, then open the actual Scripture and primary-source trails supporting the comparison.
The Hebrew Scriptures are God’s true Word, fulfilled rather than abolished by Jesus, and joined by the authoritative apostolic witness to Him.
The Tanakh is foundational; rabbinic tradition, Talmud, legal interpretation, community, and custom carry differing authority across Jewish movements.
Israel’s Scriptures are true. Any tradition or interpretation that nullifies their fulfillment in Jesus must be rejected as false.
Which statements are directly established by the sources, where do the accounts contradict, and why does that contradiction matter for knowing God and salvation?
